A Fine Frenzy (Alison Sudol)

Alison Loren Sudol (was born on December 23, 1984), known as A the Fine Frenzy is an American alternative singer, composer and pianist. Her debut album “One Cell in the Sea” was released in 2007, then in 2009 the second studio album “Bomb in a Birdcage” was released. Sudol hit the charts in the United States, Germany, Australia, Switzerland, Poland and Franceas well as other countries. Her music has been featured in numerous television shows, and has also been used in several major movies.


Alison was born in Seattle, Washington, in the family of two drama teachers. Sudol and her mother moved to Los Angeles after her parents divorced when she was five years old. As a child, she rarely saw her father, John Sudol. Alison listened to a variety of music, including Aretha Franklin, Ella Fitzgerald and swing.

She graduated from high school at the age of 16 years and considers himself a “dull and quiet” ( Engl. Nerdy and quiet switch ). Musical career

In March 2007, Sudol appeared at the South by Southwest (SXSW) conference , open to The Stooges . Soon after, her debut album, Cell in the Sea, was released, receiving positive reviews. Her first single, “Almost Lover,” reached number 25 on the Billboard’s Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks music chart. In mid-2007, she performed during Rufus Wainwright’s tour .. In March and April, she embarked on her own tour of the United States and Canada. In April, she toured in France, Belgium, Germany, and Switzerland. On Twitter, Sudol announced the start of work on its third album, although the date and title were not announced, the album is scheduled to be released in 2012.

Television appearances

On February 6, 2008, Sudol performed “Come On, Come Out” on “The Late Show with David Letterman.” On February 23, she performed “Almost Lover” and “Come On, Come Out” on the CBS ‘Saturday Early Show. She was a guest star at the premiere of the fourth season of CSI: NY , playing the role of Nova Kent. During her performance at The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, October 15, 2009, she sang “Blow Away”.
