You just need to do the following steps:
1. Open a notepad, type “del c:\windows\prefetch\ntosboot-*.* /q†(without the quotes) & save the notepad as “ntosboot.bat†in C:\ Drive.
2. From the Start menu, got to Run and type “gpedit.mscâ€Â.
3. Double click “Windows Settings†under “Computer Configuration†and double click again on “Shutdown†in the right window.
4. In the new window, click “addâ€Â, “Browseâ€Â, locate your “ntosboot.bat†file & click “Openâ€Â.
5. Click “OKâ€Â, “Apply†& “OK†once again to exit.
6. Again from the Start menu, got to Run and type “devmgmt.mscâ€Â.
7. Double click on “IDE ATA/ATAPI controllersâ€Â
8. Right click on “Primary IDE Channel†and select “Propertiesâ€Â.
9. Select the “Advanced Settings†tab then on the device or 1 that doesn’t have ‘device type’ grayed out select ‘none’ instead of ‘autodetect’ & click “OKâ€Â.
10. Right click on “Secondary IDE channelâ€Â, select “Properties†and repeat step 9.
11. Reboot your computer. That's it.
