Android smartphone Motorola Droid X became one of the most exciting and technically advanced models of this American company, but to replace him, is already preparing a new version of the smartphone, which is still known under the code name of Daytona, but will officially be called, most likely, Droid X2. It is not clear when the official premiere of the smartphone will be held, but highly reliable sources are ready to share information about its technical specification.

According to the anonymous sources, the main difference Droid X2 from its predecessor will be a new hardware platform and the other is the display. The new smartphone will be based on SoC NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core CPU running at 1 GHz. Diagonal touch screen will remain the same - 4.3 inches, but the resolution will increase to 540 x 960 pixels (compared to 480 x 854 pixels at the Droid X). Among other characteristics of the smartphone appear: USB 2.0 interface, Adapters Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, support for DLNA, HDMI connector, 8 megapixel camera, which allows to record video clips at 1280 x 720 pixels. Of course, the smartphone is equipped with a slot for microSD memory cards. Most likely, the smartphone will be released with a preinstalled OS Android 2.2, which can later be upgraded to version 2.3 or 3.0.
Motorola Droid X2 will be available in the U.S. telecommunications network operator Verizon Wireless, so it is possible that the smartphone receives a built-in wireless LTE. With regard to price for new items, it would, presumably, a two-year contract about $ 200.
